Question: Heyy Anri, welcome!! right out of the gate, TELL US WHY DUSTY PINK EVENTS AND HOW DID ITALL START? GIVE US ALL THE JUICE!

The very first wedding I did was for a dear friend four years ago. I remember the venue staff asked for my business card after the wedding and I still answered “oh no, I’m not a florist just a bridesmaid!” and that was how it all started… I definitely inherited my moms creativity, she is incredibly talented and forms part of my team today. I love learning from other florists and building relationships whilst doing so.

We have two packages. We can either plan and coordinate your wedding or be your florist (or both, haha).

question: OKAY, LET’S GET DOWN TO THE GOOD STUFF! wHAT KIND OF VIBE / ENERGY DOES FRESH FLOWERS BRING TO A WEDDING / ELOPEMENT.

Ahhh, fresh flowers! I believe fresh flowers is a must at any wedding. I love working with dried foliage but I always add something fresh to the arrangement. I believe fresh flowers light up the atmosphere at every wedding.

question: DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS ON HOW TO MAXIMISE A BUDGET TO ENSURE THAT YOU CAN STILL HAVE EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANT FOR BEST DAY EVER?

Budget talk is always a difficult one. The most important thing to remember when it comes to a wedding budget is to determine what you place most of your value in for your wedding day. Determine two or three things that are most important to you and spend more money on those – whether it is your photographer, your flowers, the venue, food, etc. Spend wisely! I am also a massive fan of small and intimate weddings. They can often be more cost effective.

How to maximise your flower budget:
– Choose local flowers to keep the costs low.
– Choose one or two big arrangements (example the ceremony arch and the main table) and keep the rest minimal.
– Move your ceremony arrangements to your reception area.

QUESTION: hOW DOES DUSTY PINK EVENTS DO CONSULTATION AND WHY ARE THEY NECESSARY?

We love meeting with every single bride and groom before we start planning (whether it’s a video call or in person). Each wedding excites me equally, whether it’s an elopement or a big wedding. I love working with different styles and truly portraying each couple in their wedding. We do not charge a consultation fee for our first meetings with clients.

QUESTION: wOULD YOU RECOMMEND THAT THE COUPLE ASK FOR SAMPLE ARRANGEMENTS AND WOULD THAT INCUR ANY EXTRA COSTS?

Sample arrangements and a mock-up setting is always a good idea. It is however an extra cost and not necessary. I try my best to portray exactly what the bride & groom envisioned through looking at their reference photos and Pinterest boards.

QUESTION: CAN WE TALK ABOUT FLOWER TRENDS FOR 2022? AND WHAT IS YOUR GO-TO FLOWERS FOR SOULFUL LOVERS THAT HAVE AN ECCENTRIC / BOHEMIAN VIBE?

Flower trends for 2022!
Non-traditional arrangements with a combination of dried and fresh flowers will definitely still be super trendy in 2022, especially with the environmental benefits of sustainable flowers. Ikebana (Japanese inspired) arrangements are also very trendy and will definitely become more popular in 2022.

QUESTION: YOU’VE DONE SOME AMAZING WORK, DO YOU HAVE ANY HAND’S ON EXPERIENCE OR TIPS TO ADD SOME VALUE FOR THE SOULFUL LOVERS OUT THERE?

Adding a few fresh flowers to dried foliage (which you can easily forage) is also very cost effective.
